The problem
Across multiple consulting engagements, the fundamentals kept breaking: a conversion event set up by their ad agency wasn't firing, the Google Tag Manager instance had accumulated issues, and UTM parameters were being silently overwritten in the sync between the data warehouse and the CRM — quietly corrupting attribution.
What we did
We took a first-principles approach to each: debugged the broken conversion event, audited and cleaned up the GTM instance, then traced the UTM overwrite in the warehouse↔CRM sync and built new fields and workflows in the CRM to preserve attribution end to end.
The result
Conversions fire correctly, GTM is trustworthy, and attribution data survives the whole path from click to CRM — no more numbers no one believes.
“Omair was a great hire. One week he helped debug a conversion event our ad agency had set up that wasn't firing conversions. Another week he audited and identified issues with our Google Tag Manager instance. Upon uncovering that UTM parameters were being overwritten in a sync between the data warehouse and the CRM, he solutioned new fields and workflows and implemented the solution in the CRM on his own. He took a first-principles approach and in each case completed the work well.
